API keys
Your server proves who it is with an API key in the x-api-key header; a key can be limited to your server's IP addresses.
Making a key
- Settings › Developers › API keys, new key: give it a name you recognise.
- Copy it now: the key is shown only once.
- Optional: an IP allow-list, so only your servers' addresses (IPs or ranges) may use it.
Using it
Send it with every call from your server:
x-api-key: your API key
It works for conversions, conversion status updates, clients and their metrics, and server-side hits.
Good to know
- Revoke a key you no longer use; calls with it are refused at once.
- Keep keys on your server. Never put one in a page, an app or a public repository.
