Conversion types
The events your site reports and offers can pay for, such as a sale or a sign-up; each has a code that never changes.
What it is
A conversion type is a kind of event: Sale, Registration, Deposit. It has a name people read and a code your server sends, for example sale.
How it works
- Make the types in Offers › Conversion types. The code is short and never changes once created.
- Add a type as a goal on an offer to pay for it. See Goals.
- Your server sends the code with each conversion (
conversionTypeCode).
Good to know
- Each type shows its hits and conversions of the last 30 days.
- Archive a type you no longer use: offers can no longer add it as a goal, but its conversions and its code keep working. Restore brings it back.
- An unknown code is refused with unknown_conversion_type.
