How a balance is made
A partner's balance is everything they earned and were not paid yet: approved conversions, client revenue share and bonuses, minus what was paid.
What it is
Every amount that changes what a partner is owed is written as a line in their ledger. A line is never changed or deleted afterwards; a correction is a new line. The balance is the sum of those lines.
What adds to it
- Approved conversions: the payout of each conversion with the status Approved.
- Client revenue share: for offers that pay a share of what a client brings over time, each movement of the client's metrics.
- Bonuses with a positive amount, from their billable day.
What takes from it
- Payments in a settlement.
- Bonuses with a negative amount (a deduction).
- A conversion that turns from approved to rejected, refunded or fraud: its payout is taken back with a new line.
What does not count yet
- Pending, on hold and quality control conversions: they show in the partner's earnings as pending, and count when they are approved. An on-hold conversion moves on by itself when its hold time ends.
- Test conversions never count.
Good to know
- Balances are counted in the partner's payout currency.
- The cut-off date of a payout decides which lines are paid now; later lines stay for the next run.
