Clients and metrics
A visitor who converted becomes a client; their metrics over time can pay their partner a share for life.
What a client is
A visitor whose hit brought a conversion becomes a client of the partner who sent them. Your server can name them (a display name and your own client ID); unnamed clients show as an anonymous animal, such as Anonymous Fox.
Metrics
A metric is something your server reports about each client over time, for example Tokens spent or Deposits: a count (whole number) or an amount (decimal). You can have up to 10 count metrics and 15 amount metrics.
- Add metrics on Performance › Clients › Metrics: a name and a code (lowercase letters, digits and
_; it cannot change later). Choose whether partners see each one. - Your server reports movements of a metric for a client. See Client and metrics API.
Lifetime revenue share
On an offer, Client revenue share sets the percent of each client metric the offer pays, for life, to the partner who brought the client. Each movement adds that share to their balance.
What you see
- Clients: tiles, active clients by month joined, value by offer, and the list with a column per metric. A client is active in a month when they have any conversion (whatever its type or status) or a metric movement; their value is the revenue of their sales, in the statuses your reports count. A client joins on the day of their hit.
- A client in full: where they came from, what they did, and what their partner earned, on a timeline.
- Partners see their own clients and what they earn from them.
